    Hacker's AI agents on the open-source Cairn platform broke into more than 100 company websites, researcher says

    A hacker gave AI agents on Cairn, an open-source multi-agent platform, a brief of under 100 Chinese characters and little supervision. From September 25, 2026 the agents tried more than 1,200 e-commerce sites and broke into those of over 100 companies, including Deere, SharkNinja and Cummins, NorForge and Reuters report.
